Hello!! I'm a Japanese quilter live in Wakayama Prefecture.

I have liked sewing since I was a little girl.
My reason for starting quilting is that I had some experience in dressmaking
and I found that I had a lot of fabric remnants which I couldn't throw away.

I wondered how I could make good use of so much extra fabric and
I also had many old Kimonos which were given to me by my grandmother
and other relatives and my friends, this included some antique
Japanese fabrics which may probably have been thrown away.

So I really wanted to give new life to these poor old fabrics.
Whenever I finish my works, I always realize that each piece is
filled with many memories.
So I'm always delighted to see my works.

It has been almost twenty five years since I started quilting seriously.
And It has been about ten years I started machine quilt.

Also it has been about ten years since I started to teach at my house.
I'm really enjoy spending the same time with my students.

I prefer to combine old and new ....various kinds of fabrics,
because I want each of my works to be unique and individualistic.

Anyway, I'm really happy I can enjoy patchwork in my life!
